We’re officially registered with Failte Ireland for the Stay and Spend scheme, a Government led initiative which helps support the Irish hospitality sector.
How does it work?
Every time you spend over €25 in a restaurant, pub, hotel or B&B on food, accommodation and non-alcoholic drinks, make sure to keep your receipts. You can then submit those receipts (up to a total spend of €625) to revenue and claim income tax credits of up to €125. The scheme starts on 1st October 2020 and runs until 30th April 2021.
So what do you need to do?
- Download the revenue receipts tracker app
- Upload and enter details of your receipts
- Claim your savings through a tax credit
The fine print
The scheme will provide a maximum of €125 in income tax credits to tax-payers who spend up to €625 in restaurants, pubs, hotels, B&Bs and other qualifying businesses, from 1st October 2020 to 30th April 2021. This amount will be doubled for jointly assessed couples, who can receive a credit up to €250.

Wonderful stay, great family. We did feel like home. We stayed here 3 nights, breakfast was perfect, all local food. Great location, less than a mile walk to town, right on the ring of kerry road. Will stay here again next time we are in Ireland.
